About Evara Care
What is Evara Care?
Evara Care provides compassionate, personalised care and support to help people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. We understand that everyone has different needs, and we tailor our support to each individual.
What services do you provide?
We offer companionship, help with everyday tasks around the home, meal preparation, shopping and respite care to give family carers a break. We'll talk through your individual needs to find the most suitable package of care. See our services.
Who can receive care from Evara Care?
Our services are designed for adults who may benefit from extra support at home, including older people, people living alone and those who need help with everyday activities. We take the time to understand each person's circumstances and preferences.
What areas does Evara Care cover?
We cover Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Please contact us to confirm whether your home falls within our current service area. We'll be happy to discuss your location and the support you need.
Getting started
How do I arrange care for myself or a loved one?
Getting started is simple. Call or email us to talk about your needs. We'll arrange a free, face-to-face consultation in your home to understand the support needed, answer your questions and explain the next steps.
What happens during the first visit?
We'll talk about your needs, preferences and expectations. Where appropriate, we'll carry out an assessment, identify any risks, agree a personalised care plan and explain the arrangements before care starts.
Can care be set up at short notice?
Yes. Care can often begin on the same day as your consultation, or on the day you choose. We also aim to help people who are ready to leave hospital but are waiting for support to be arranged at home.
Your care
Will the care be tailored to my needs?
Absolutely. We believe care should be personal. We work with you and, where appropriate, your family or representatives to create a personalised care plan that reflects your preferences, routines, needs and goals.
Can family members be involved in the care plan?
Yes. With the person's consent, and in line with confidentiality requirements, we welcome family involvement. Open communication helps make sure care stays consistent, respectful and centred around the person's wishes.
What happens if my care needs change?
Care needs can change over time. We'll review your care whenever needed and discuss any changes with you and, where appropriate, your family or representatives, so your support stays right for you.
Will I usually see the same carer?
Wherever possible we aim for you to see familiar faces, although this can depend on caseload.
What happens if my carer is ill or on holiday?
We have back-up arrangements in place, so if your usual carer is ill or on holiday, another carer will visit and your care will carry on as planned.
Are your staff DBS checked and trained?
Yes. Everyone who works for Evara Care has an enhanced DBS check and receives full training.
How do you keep people safe?
The safety and wellbeing of the people we support is a priority. We are committed to protecting people from abuse, neglect and harm, respecting their rights and dignity, keeping appropriate care records and following safeguarding procedures. Read about safeguarding.
Do you provide care at weekends and on bank holidays?
Yes, we provide care 7 days a week, including bank holidays. Rates vary depending on the time of day, and are different at weekends and on bank holidays.
Costs and paying for care
How much does home care cost?
The cost depends on the type of support needed, how long and how often visits are, and your individual care package. Visits are a minimum of one hour. We'll explain our charges clearly before any care begins, so you know exactly what to expect. Contact us for a quote.
How can care be paid for?
We accept private (self-funded) clients, council-funded care, direct payments and NHS Continuing Healthcare.
Do you offer short visits or regular ongoing care?
Both. Whether you need occasional support or regular visits, we'll work out an arrangement that suits you. Visits are a minimum of one hour, and we'll confirm availability at your first consultation.
Is there a minimum contract or notice period?
No, there is no minimum contract or notice period. If a visit is cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, a cancellation fee of 50% of the visit cost applies.
