About Evara Care

To enrich the lives of seniors and support their families by delivering professional, heart-centred care in the comfort of your own home.

Comfort, dignity and independence at home

At Evara Care, we believe that growing older shouldn't mean losing the comfort, dignity and independence of being in your own home. Founded on the core pillars of care, compassion and unity, our agency was born out of a deeply personal understanding of what families face when seeking the best support for their loved ones.

Whether it is daily companionship, help around the home or respite care for family carers, Evara Care stands as your trusted partner. We treat your family like our own.

Rebecca Mercato, founder of Evara Care

Meet the founder

Hello, I'm Rebecca

I started Evara Care because, throughout my 13 years working in healthcare, I have witnessed first-hand the challenges people face when living alone, as well as the pressures on families trying to care for a loved one while balancing work, running a home and raising a young family.

I wanted to create a care service that offers the highest quality, compassionate support: the kind of care I would want my own family to receive. To me, care is about so much more than meeting daily needs. It's about building trust, preserving dignity, promoting independence and helping people continue to enjoy the things that make life meaningful.

I have seen how important social connections, hobbies and community involvement are to a person's happiness and wellbeing, and I want to help those who may struggle to do these things independently. Through Evara Care, my aim is to give individuals and their families reassurance, support and peace of mind, while helping people feel valued, connected and comfortable in their own homes.

Our caregiver code of ethics

Six promises, kept every single day

Our team is bound by an unwavering commitment to the safety, dignity and joy of the clients entrusted to our care. Our professional caregivers pledge to uphold these core ethical pillars every single day.

  1. Preservation of dignity & autonomy

We treat every client with the utmost respect, honouring their unique life stories, cultural backgrounds and personal choices. We promote independence wherever possible, ensuring our clients feel empowered, heard and valued in their own homes.

  2. Uncompromised safety & vigilance

The physical and emotional wellbeing of our clients is our highest priority. We keep a vigilant eye on home safety, follow strict infection-control practices, and promptly report any changes in physical or cognitive health to supervisors and family members.

  3. Absolute confidentiality & trust

We respect the privacy of the families we serve. All medical records, personal histories, and financial or domestic information remain strictly confidential. We protect the privacy of the home as if it were our own.

  4. Professional boundaries & integrity

Our relationships with clients and their families are built entirely on professional integrity. Evara Care staff will never accept personal gifts, loans or tips, nor will they involve themselves in a client's personal financial or legal affairs.

  5. Compassionate & patient communication

We understand that ageing, memory loss and physical decline can be frustrating. We approach every interaction with deep patience, gentle communication and an empathetic heart, so that care is never rushed or impersonal.

  6. Continuous professional excellence

We commit to lifelong learning. Every Evara Care professional takes part in ongoing specialised training in senior wellness, safety and modern care techniques, to deliver the highest standard of home care.
